Stock Certificates

Allied Paper Corporation stock certificates were issued until the takeover by SCM in 1969. One photo below contains over 5,000 shares of Allied Paper Corporation stock. Are these worth anything? In 1969 they were worth $24.25 a share, which makes 5,000 shares worth $121,000. However, they were all exchanged for SCM stock (example at bottom) so they have no financial value today except as charming antiques. The Thor Corporation stock certificate was issued in 1949. Thor bought the Allied Paper Mills in 1955. Then in 1956 Thor renamed itself the Allied Paper Corporation (that's why the stock certificates look so similar).
